Why the long church name "Southwest Central Church"?

When the merge between the Southwest Central Church and the Central Church took place in 1983, the one item that everyone seemed to agree on was that neither "Southwest" nor "Central" would be in the church title. Well, you see how that worked out for us. :)


Why are there women participating in the public assembly?

A few years ago, this church engaged in a strenuous study of the role of women in public worship. After months of fervent prayer, fasting, and dilligently exploring Scripture, the decision was made to implement women in the assemblies. This is not the essence of our identity. We are Christ-followers that are seeking to love God and love our neighbors.
