Dick and Bonnie Darroh have been married since 1970. They have two grown children, Dorian and Lisa. They came to Southwest Central in 1980.
Dick and Bonnie are both very involved in teaching. Dick has taught in the auditorium adult class for a number of years, and has also taught a special series on Wednesday evenings on Women in the Church. He takes teaching very seriously, and spends long hours studying. Dick is also involved as a liaison to the Administrative Team. Dick and Bonnie together have been known to take a young person under their wings and offer them encouragement, a listening ear, and a place to go when they needed a friend. Bonnie has taught children’s classes for many years, and is often opening her home to groups and individuals.
Dick’s spiritual growth has been evident to people who have known him through the years. Beginning out of his studies as a teacher, it has led him to a deeper prayer life. Prayer has become a special emphasis to Dick, one that he is sharing with the eldership and the congregation, encouraging Southwest Central to become a church on her knees.
Dick is in business with his brothers, helping the match the right people with the right job. Matching the right talents with the right ministry is also important in the church. Dick enjoys a good game of golf, as well.
