When Jesus revealed the Father to us he came as God's suffering servant (Isaiah 53; Acts 8:32-35). He contrasted his disciples' servant life-style to that of the Gentiles who like to lord it over each other (Luke 22:25). If one concept can describe our ministries here at SWC, it is that of serving. Whether it's tutoring the neighborhood children, feeding the students at the University of Houston or visiting the sick in the Texas Medical Center, we are attempting to be like Christ in meeting real needs of people. We meet them where they are and we walk with them as we journey together to the higher ground of life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
